Epicentre is around 30 km offshore Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu, where there has been major damage to buildings. Latest reports indicate that at least 14 people have been killed and some 200 others have been injured. A tsunami warning was issued soon after the earthquake occurred but was cancelled around two hours later.
