Felt by people in Oban and surrounding villages in the Argyll and Bute region, mainly from within around 10 km of the epicentre. Reports described, "thought it was thunder but the weather was too mild", "sounded like the ferry landing on the slip but it was the wrong time" and "only noticeable effect was the rumbling sound".
